I have a new article up at the journal Veritas, on Mark Twain and temptation of ideology in the classical-school movement. Piece on Education and Florida's Schools in The Bulwark

Recently, The Bulwark published my article on what changes to the Florida educational system might look like from the perspective of the classroom. Given an accusatory headline and accompanied by picture of a scowling Ron DeSantis, the article appears more political than I had envisioned it, but I hope that those who read will find the piece to be more nuanced. Really, I aimed to use the news cycle to write about something more timeless--what education is and isn't. Thanks for reading!
